BBQ Recipes for Labour Day & the End of Summer - from Vikalinka

Fire Up the Grill & Enjoy the Long Weekend!

Hello Reader

For many of us, we are looking forward to a relaxing long weekend to celebrate Labour Day. Others are just looking longingly at the end of summer, wishing it could go on just a bit longer.

However you land, this weekend is the perfect excuse to gather, relax, and enjoy some really good food. Whether you're hosting a backyard BBQ, heading to a picnic, or just soaking up the last of summer, I've put together my favourite grilling recipes to make it all delicious and easy.

From grilled mains and fresh sides, these recipes are made for sharing and enjoying outdoors.

PERFECT MAINS

👉 Best Homemade Burgers - Learn how to make burger patties from ground beef for the best, juiciest homemade burgers! Then take them up a notch by adding our special burger sauce.

👉 Grilled Tomahawk Steak - Learn how to grill the juiciest tomahawk steak at home to rival any steakhouse offering! Don’t forget to top with our garlicky herb butter for added flavour.

👉 4 Ingredient Chicken Marinade - This marinade recipe is ideal for grilling or oven baking and imparts the delicious flavours of lemon, garlic and smoked paprika.

👉 Grilled Shrimp Kebabs - Juicy mouthfuls of pink shrimp are marinated in a smoky and spicy soak, skewered between bell peppers and sweet red onion and grilled to golden.

AMAZING SIDES

👉 Dill Potato Salad - This potato salad is made even tastier with the addition of greens onion, dill pickles and lots of refreshing herbs! A perfect side dish for summer picnics and barbecues!

👉 Green Goddess Pasta Salad - We need a variety of salads for the BBQ or picnic and my pasta salad is sure to become a firm favourite. Creamy but fresh with a beautiful peppery kick!

👉 Avocado and Corn Salad - Freshen up your BBQ game with an avocado and corn salad. Grilled corn kernels meets soft avocado and red onion, topped with crumbly white cheese, cilantro and crunchy pumpkin seeds.

👉 Italian Chopped Salad - Don’t let the word ‘salad’ fool you. Italian chopped salad is a mega mouthful of ingredients, packed with protein, and alive with an uber fresh dressing.

Wishing you a fun-filled weekend and a plate full of flavour,

Love,
Julia x
