Cold Season Cooking: 6 Delicious Immune-Boosting Recipes

Hello Reader

Winter is when I crave comfort and a little extra support for my immune system. Between darker days, school bugs doing the rounds, and busy schedules, itโ€™s more important than ever to nourish ourselves with food that actually does our bodies some good.

So this week I've pulled together a few recipes that are full of ingredients that are linked to immune health, such as pulses, fish, chicken, ferments and nutrient-packed vegetables.

๐Ÿ‘‰ Lentil and Butternut Squash Chili - Lentils - hight in fibre and protein - meet immune-boosting butternut squash in this lean yet incredibly delicious chili.

๐Ÿ‘‰ Quick Tuna Pasta with Capers - Full of healthy Omega 3 for your immune system, with antioxidant-rich capers. This quick and easy pasta has only 7 ingredients!

๐Ÿ‘‰ Homemade Sauerkraut - Ferments have been used for generations to add flavour and for their many health benefits. Eat on its own, in a salad or mix into a dish like Kielbasa and Sauerkraut!

๐Ÿ‘‰ Chicken Noodle Soup - Turns out grandma was right, chicken noodle soup is exactly what to eat when feeling sick, or to keep sickness at bay! Chicken will give you plenty of vitamin B-6.

๐Ÿ‘‰ Kimchi Fried Rice - Back with another ferment! This time I'm enjoying the spicy tang of Korean kimchi. It's a quick and easy way to turn leftover rice into a stunning - and nutritious - new meal.

๐Ÿ‘‰ Spicy Sweet Potato and Carrot Soup - This soup is packed with beta carotene thanks to sweet potatoes and carrots. It has a lovely natural sweetness plus a touch of heat from harissa.

Wishing you a flavourful week ahead!

Why Iโ€™m Running the London Marathon This Year

This spring on 26 April, I (Brad) will be running the London Marathon to raise money for Christian Aid โ€” a charity I used to work for and still care deeply about. Christian Aid supports communities around the world facing poverty and injustice, and every donation, big or small, helps make a real difference. Anything you can contribute - even ยฃ5/$5 - would be greatly appreciated!
