Recipes I'm cooking on repeat this month - from Vikalinka

What I'm cooking on repeat in March

Hello Reader

March hits differently, doesn't it? We're all pedalling out of winter's heaviness, craving something lighter on our plates, but not quite ready to give up those comforting dinners that don't require much thought after a long day.

These are a few of my March staples: the recipes I genuinely make on repeat, the ones that work whether you're feeding the family on a Tuesday or cooking something relaxed for the weekend. No fuss, just solid, dependable meals.

The kind of food you make once, then find yourself cooking again the very next week because it just works.

If you're stuck in a winter cooking rut or just need a few reliable go-tos to bridge the season, this is your starting line. Everything here is tried, tested, and currently on heavy rotation in my kitchen.

๐Ÿ‘‰ Salisbury Steak - Come for the protein, stay for the flavour! Somewhere between a meatloaf and a burger, bathed in a deliciously earthy mushroom and onion gravy.

๐Ÿ‘‰ Spicy Chicken and Rice Soup: Georgian Soup Kharcho - A nourishing, slightly spicy soup heaped with herbs, garlic and chilli, and thick with rice and shredded chicken.

๐Ÿ‘‰ Beef Teriyaki - This dish has brought so much flavour to our weeknight meals, without making me work any harder than usual.

๐Ÿ‘‰ Beef Short Rib Ragu - Pasta is always in my rotation, and this one has been winning out recently.

๐Ÿ‘‰ Hot Cheesy Salmon Sandwich - Adding a bit of variety to my lunchtime with this variation on the classic tuna melt. Simple yet truly delicious!

๐Ÿ‘‰ Flourless Oatmeal Muffins - I've been baking these on a weekend so I can keep breakfast simple and nutritious all week long. A great start to the day that keeps me feeling nourished for hours.

Wishing you a flavourful week ahead!

Your Cinco de Mayo Menu Is Here! Hello Reader it doesn't take a lot to convince me to turn dinner into a feast, and Cinco de Mayo is just too perfect to miss! I'm planning to go all out with the menu this year, with some of my favourites hitting the dinner table. 5 May just happens to land on a Tuesday this year, so I'll be leaning into Taco Tuesday, with a couple of options that are especially popular in my home. Pair that with a starter and a set of classic sides, and I know it'll be a hit....

It's Asparagus Season! Hello Reader April has arrived, and with it comes one of the most exciting signs of spring: asparagus season. I'm a huge fan of those vibrant green spears. And because they are only around for a short window, I want to make the most of the opportunity. So this week, Iโ€™m sharing a few of my favourite recipes that let asparagus shine. Love them as much as I do? I would love it if you left a review and star rating on the website to help other readers find their next...

Recipes I'm cooking on repeat! Hello Reader April always feels like a month of in-between moments in the kitchen. I'm not quite done with the comforting dishes of winter, but the first signs of spring are arriving too, with fresh herbs, lighter dinners and recipes that feel a little brighter. Lately Iโ€™ve been leaning on a handful of recipes from the blog that strike that perfect balance: cosy enough for unpredictable weather, but fresh enough to celebrate the change in season. These are the...
