Easter Menu Inspiration from Vikalinka

My favourite Easter recipes!

Hello Reader

Easter always feels like the true turning point of the year, with lighter evenings, brighter flavours, and a table that invites everyone to linger a little longer.

Planning your Easter menu? These recipes hit that sweet spot: impressive enough to feel celebratory, but approachable enough that you'll actually enjoy the process.

Whether you're honouring tradition or reimagining it entirely, these dinner ideas prove that Easter cooking should feel joyful, not stressful and festive without the fuss.

Easter Main Courses

👉 Roast Leg of Lamb with Mint Sauce - A traditional main course for Easter, and perfectly complemented by homemade mint sauce.

👉 Maple Bourbon Glazed Ham - Slathered with a deep amber maple, mustard, whisky syrup and then roasted to caramelised perfection.

Easter Side Dishes

👉 Scalloped Potatoes with Caramelised Shallots - An instant upgrade on traditional scalloped potatoes, and the perfect side for any Easter table.

👉 Fresh Green Bean Casserole - Made entirely from scratch, with fresh green beans in a delicious mushroom cream sauce, baked with seasoned herbs and garlic Parmesan breadcrumbs.

👉 Maple Glazed Roasted Carrots - Sweet, savoury and a little spicy, these glazed carrots will be a perfect accompaniment to your main course.

👉 Roasted Asparagus and Radishes with Mustard Vinaigrette - Deep flavour, great texture, and the perfect tangy vinaigrette to match the sweetness of roasted vegetables.

👉 Creamy Scalloped Corn - An old fashioned corn dish with a savoury cream sauce and crispy breadcrumb topping. Easy to make and a pure comfort to eat!

Easter Breads

👉 Overnight Dinner Rolls with Everything Bagel Seasoning - Fluffy-centred, gold-brushed, enriched buns with a crunchy and flavourful seasoning.

👉 Easter Bread Kulich - A brioche-like sweet Easter bread, traditional to Eastern Europe, glazed with a simple sugar icing or melted white chocolate. Great for brunch!

👉 Lemon and Poppyseed Hot Cross Buns - What is Easter without them? Mine are a vibrant twist on the traditional version!

Easter Desserts

👉 Carrot Sheet Cake with Pistachio Frosting - The picture-perfect centrepiece to finish your meal! Carrot-rich but delicate, moist sponge with a creamy pistachio-laced frosting.

👉 Lemon Curd Cheesecake - Topped with lemon curd and whipped cream rosettes, is as luxurious as it is delicious. A fresh and decadent way to finish your meal!

Wishing you a flavourful week ahead!

Love,
Julia x

Why I’m Running the London Marathon This Year

This spring on 26 April, I (Brad) will be running the London Marathon to raise money for Christian Aid — a charity I used to work for and still care deeply about. Christian Aid supports communities around the world facing poverty and injustice, and every donation, big or small, helps make a real difference. Anything you can contribute - even £5/$5 - would be greatly appreciated!
